String Wound Filter Cartridge Description

String wound filter cartridge is a kind of filter cartridge for depth filtration at low viscosity and low impurity content conditions. It is made of textile fiber yarn (polypropylene yarns, skim cotton yarn, etc.). These yarns are precisely wound on the porous skeleton (PP or stainless steel) to form a honeycomb structure that is loose outside and dense inside. As a result, it offers excellent filtration and bsorption performance and can effectively remove suspended solids, fine particles, rust and other impurities from fluids.

How Does A String Wound Cartridge Filter Work?

The string wound filter cartridge is woven to form a gradient density – tighter at the core and lighter on the outside. This means that bigger sediments are filtered out at the onset, and as the liquid passes through the medium, the finer particles get gradually filtered out at every layer. The winding pattern and controlled thickness of the cartridge results in higher dirt holding capacity and increases the life and efficiency of the filter.
